September 16: 1 Month Old!!

I turned 1 month old on September 16. After going to see Dr. Wazir, since my birth day, I have gained 2 lbs 1 oz and have grown 3 1/4 inches. I now weigh 9lbs 11 oz and am 21 1/4 inches long! Above is a picture that Grandma B and Mommy took of me in a 1 year onesie. They said we are going to take a picture like this every month to see how much I have grown! As you can see, I really had fun taking these pictures with them!!
Below are things I have perfected, have accomplished finally for the first time, and/or am stilling working on in my FIRST MONTH of LIFE!

SLEEPING is definitely a skill I have perfected and love. I am sleeping almost 2 periods of 4 hours throughout the night and take pretty good naps throughout the day. Except during the 5-7pm hours. That's when I really have a hard time sleeping and am very fussy! What can I say? Mommy and Daddy's arms are so much better than the silly pack-n-play and crib!

LISTENING/READING is something I am definitely getting better at! So far, one of my favorite books is Where the Wild Things Are. Mommy read that to me just recently and I talked, waved my arms in excitement and kicked my legs like a WILD THING!! Papa told us on Skype that the movie comes out the day after we arrive in America. I hope Mommy and Daddy let me go see it with them!

I finally slept in my own bed. It was very comfortable. While Skyping with Mama and Papa, I finally found my thumb and have enjoyed sucking it ever since. I got to wear a my first baseball cap. It's still a bit big, but Daddy says I look like a pro already!!

I am more awake during my wake times and enjoy laying and entertaining myself for awhile or should I say a little while. I also have started blowing bubbles!


I still enjoy taking baths and NEVER cry anymore!! I try not to go potty during my time in the nice warm water, but I still haven't perfected that one! Oops!

I have also started smiling A LOT!! The funniest thing I do that ALWAYS makes me smile is during my diaper changes. Sometimes, when Mommy and Daddy aren't looking, I start peeing before they get the new diaper on me. Even though it goes everywhere, it's the funniest thing and makes me smile!! I also smile and laugh when my upper lip gets tickled or rubbed and when someone brushes downward on my nose!


But overall, I just LOVE being LOVED!!! My Grandma B came for 2 1/2 weeks and just left on Thursday. I loved being with her and I miss her already! But I sure can't wait to see her again soon!
