International Traveler!

On October 14, Mommy, Daddy and I packed up 4 large suitcases, 2 small carry-ons, my diaper bag, and travel system stroller for my FIRST EVER trip to the United States of America. Daddy told me that I am a US citizen, but that I was born in India. So the US is my home, but it wasn't until October 15 that I got to smell that clean, cold, American air! That's right! It took a whole day to get home!

Mommy was a bit worried at how I would do in the airport and on the plane. She told me that she prayed to Jesus and asked him to keep me sleeping through checking in, going through security, and waiting at the gate. She asked that I would finally wake up when we boarded the plane and were about to take off so that I would be ready to eat and my ears wouldn't hurt so bad as the plane took off. And you know? Jesus helped me do EXACTLY that!! I am starting to think this Jesus that Mommy and Daddy keep talking about is VERY powerful!! Everytime they pray for me, He answers their prayers.

It was a great trip, but very long. We got to sit at the bulk head and I got my own seat where I slept most of the time in my carrier. I wasn't supposed to have my own seat, but the plane was very empty and, again, Mommy said that Jesus had answered another prayer! I didn't like getting changed in those small bathrooms though. The changing table was small and VERY hard! But I tried to do my best and not cry too much! Afterwards, as we were landing in Chicago, Illinois, the flight attendants said I was a great baby!

After that trip, I got to fly again to Dallas, Texas and then again to Greenville, South Carolina. I didn't like those flights AT ALL!! But, all the struggle was worth it because guess who was waiting at the airport for me? Papa and MaMa and Mama Pruitt!! I got to meet them for the first time and they were EVERYTHING I had expected and more!! At the airport, Papa cried, MaMa was sick so she wasn't able to hold me, but she couldn't keep her eyes off of me, and Mama Pruitt LOVED holding me! Afterwards, we drove for about 30 minutes to Daddy's hometown of Anderson. Of course, Mommy and Daddy stopped along the way at a place called Chick Fillet for some DELICIOUS FOOD or at least that's what they called it. Daddy even got to drive through the drive thru and we got to hear ALL ABOUT how he misses drive thrus! The rest of the trip home, I just kept smiling and laughing because everyone was talking about our president, something about people's health, money, and Fox News? I don't quite understand all those things, so I just kept smiling at my Mommy and the way she talks with so much excitement! Her eyes get really BIG and her hands move around a lot! It's so funny!

I LOVE YOU MAMA AND PAPA!! I miss you!
There is SO MUCH MORE to come!!Keep checking my blog this week to see all about my trip to America and all the fun I had with my family!
