I had such a great time with my MaMa and Papa!! They are so wonderful, smart, funny, and I know they love me!! Here are pictures of things we did together all week long during my trip to South Cackalacky (Isn't that funny? Daddy taught me that nickname for South Carolina!)
I love MaMa and Papa's hands! They took care of me in so many ways: giving me a bath, rubbing my head, playing with me, and loving me! It's hard to see, but my shirt says "Everythings better at Grandma's!"
Papa holding me and trying to get me to smile. I have the funniest looks on my face and some might call me squirrelly, but hey, just read my shirt! I'm NUTS about Grandpa!!
I talked, made silly faces and noises, kicked my legs, and danced around with MaMa. And sometimes I just got to sleep in her arms!
Papa would come and lay beside on me on the floor, talk to me, and then sometimes, just stare at me with a big smile on his face. He loves me so!
Of course, I got LOTS of kisses!!
And then other times, we just sat together and looked at one another. Mommy said I wouldn't get to see them, in person, again until I was 8 months old so we made sure to get in as much time together as possible!
These last 2 pictures are extra special to me. These were taken the first night I was in Mama and Papa's house. This was the first time Mama got to hold me. Can you see that Mama is wearing a mask? Well, she had a cold and was afraid she would get me sick. Even when we saw them at the airport, she didn't hold me because she was being extra careful. Why is that special to me? Well, you see, Mama was being completely selfless and showing how much she loved me!! Mama NEVER gets sick. She never got to see Mommy pregnant, she was thousands of miles away when I was born, she had to wait 2 months to finally get to hold me, and then, when I was finally with her, she STILL put my needs first! Mama, I love you! Thank you for being an example to me in what it means to be selfless and to put other's health above your own desires. But I sure am glad that you got better and we were able to cuddle just a couple days later!!
